Platinum Property Partners started its tenth year in business with a bang this week.

The January National Workshop and Awards Ceremony saw more than 200 franchise partners in attendance to kick-off 12 months of celebrations.

As always, the two-day event, held at the De Vere Staverton Estate in Daventry, was filled with great presentations from a range of keynote speakers, Power Team members and Head Office staff.

Economic strategist, Roger Martin-Fagg, made a return to discuss how the shock results of the EU referendum and US presidential election could impact the UK economy and property market.

He was followed by Moneyweek commentator, Bitcoin expert and comedian, Dominic Frisby, who shared some interesting facts about the UK tax system and made light of how it is the most complicated tax code in the world.

Specialist mortgage broker, BlueChip Financial, provided a market update and PPP's bespoke insurance provider, JELF, launched a new and exclusive private insurance product.

Some franchise partners also took to the stage to share tips on investing in smaller Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) and how to carry out a mid-tenancy refurbishment.

And former franchise partner, Gary Bassett, was welcomed back to share his story ten years after first joining the network.

On Monday evening, a noticeably slimmer Kriss Akabusi demonstrated how he'd been inspired by PPP's fitness and wellbeing club, Team Awesome, as he introduced this year's awards ceremony.

Kitted out from head to toe in true Great Gatsby style, the theme for the party, he told the network how PPP had not only shown him how to improve his long-term wealth, but also his health.

He handed over to Founder and Chairman, Steve Bolton, to present the awards, which again thanked all of the advocates and included two new entries this year - Power Team Member of the Year and Alumni Partner of the Year.

Everyone is now looking forward to the summer National Workshop which will act as the official tenth birthday party for PPP.
