What makes a good entrepreneur?More than 130 countries around the world are currently celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).

Launched in 2007, the campaign aims to help inspire people to explore their potential, bring ideas to life and drive economic growth globally. Through thousands of local, national and international events, people are being encouraged to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.

Founder and Chairman of Platinum Property Partners, Steve Bolton, attended one of these events this week. On Monday 17th November, he gave an inspirational presentation to students at The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy in Bournemouth. His advice to the audience was that to be a good entrepreneur, you have to focus on education – the more you learn, the more you earn.

A leading public speaker in the personal and professional development sector, Steve wanted to highlight the importance of continuously bettering yourself by participating in active learning and surrounding yourself with people you aspire to be like.

Only last week Steve did just this. He was part of ‘The One Day MBA – Achieving Business and Entrepreneurial Success’ where he presented alongside one of the top three motivational speakers in the world, Brian Tracy.

Brian is an international training and development mentor and best-selling author who believes that to be a successful entrepreneur, you have to:

- Discover your most valuable assets - Learn how to achieve your full potential - Set clear goals and deadlines, write them down and take consistent action - Have an excellent product or service - Surround yourself with a top leadership and management team - Devise a robust business, marketing sales, customer services and people plan - Understand how to achieve the right balance between work and life

More than 50 PPP Partners also attended the event in London. Steve commented: “A major part of my personal and business success, and that of our Partners, can be attributed to information, ideas and actions that I took as a result of learning from Brian.”
