Platinum Property Partners appoints new regional coaches in the Midlands

Platinum Property Partners (PPP) is delighted to appoint two new regional coaches in the Midlands area to run the quarterly workshops.

Taking over from Andrew Paris and Julie Flemming, Simon and Liz Whelan have been acting regional coaches since August 2015 and will host their first quarterly regional meeting in early December.

Having only joined PPP in March 2014, the couple from Birmingham are the first to have become part of the PPP support team within their first two years.

Their role as regional coaches will involve hosting quarterly workshops in their area and providing support to fellow Partners, particularly new joiners.

Formerly a consultant in the construction industry, Simon soon took on the role as Construction, Design and Management (CDM) specialist for PPP shortly after joining, and so already has experience of supporting the network of more than 200 Partners.

With such a vast knowledge base of building and refurbishment, Simon and Liz have also been able to quickly source, purchase and refurbish their first three properties and are therefore in a great position to provide current and up-to-date advice to fellow Partners in their region.

Liz said: "As Partners, we felt like we got the most value out of the regional meetings because the content was bespoke to our area. We were so impressed with the way that Julie and Andrew ran our meetings and how supportive they'd been for the whole region, that when the opening became available, we wanted to get involved.

"Due to the speed at which we have built our portfolio and Simon's CDM work within the network, we felt that we'd quickly gained a lot of PPP and HMO (Houses in Multiple Occupation) experience that would be valuable."

Simon added: "Andrew and Julie have worked so hard and it's time for someone else to take the weight off their shoulders. We want to take what they have built and push it even further. We want to keep the regional meetings professional and ensure that everyone gets something out of it but also inject some fresh ideas.

"We'll ensure that the content is varied, offer more people the opportunity to share their successes and challenges and perhaps invite external people to give presentations."

Lisa Stead, Operations Manager at PPP said: "Simon and Liz are a great team and we are confident they are going to do a sterling job. We are all excited to have them on board as part of the PPP support team and hope that you will all welcome them in to their new roles!"
