This week our Planning Manager, Alison Broderick, was invited to speak as a planning expert on the new permitted property development rights at the National Landlord Association’s quarterly meeting.
The National Landlords Association, which represents the interests of 1.4 million landlords in the UK, includes the work we do for our partners (mainly workshops and boot camps) as official CPD (continuing professional development) in their accreditation scheme.
Alison was joined by Richard Blakeway (Deputy Mayor of Housing, Land and Property) addressing the London Rental Standard and Neil Nichols of Edmund Cude (lettings agents) who spoke about the state and opportunities of the London rental market.
Alison gave her views and advice on new permitted development rights for ‘the change of use from offices to residential property’ and ‘household extensions’. The changes in the rights mean more opportunities in the rental sector.
Information on the new permitted development rights is available from the Lexology website.
