Matthew Edge-Wilkins, Recruitment and HR Manager at Platinum Property Partners (PPP), has been selected as a judge on the panel for the 2014 In-house Recruitment Awards (IHRA).

After coming runner-up in the ‘Best In-House Recruitment Manager’ category last year, Matthew has been asked to use his experience and expertise to help select winners in three categories for this year’s awards.

Matthew will be judging entries for Best Recruitment Video, Recruitment Innovation and Best In-House Recruitment Manager.

Since joining PPP in August 2011, Matthew has successfully placed more than 30 talented individuals within the company, all of whom have played a key role in its growth and development. He also provides recruitment support for PPP Partners when they require additional resources, such as lettings managers, to help develop their own buy-to-let businesses.

In 2013, Matthew founded myinhouse recruitment, an outsourced recruitment function that specialises in sourcing and placing the best passive talent for SMEs, property companies and new business ventures. Shortlisted earlier this year for the James Caan Recruitment Entrepreneur Programme, myinhouse recruitment continues to expand successfully, making multiple placements for some of the most innovative property companies in the country.

Matthew is a passionate believer in leveraging ‘social recruiting’ to enable small businesses to hire the best people for their business, regardless of their recruitment budget. He is a regular contributor in industry social media groups and can also be found in the ‘Ask the Recruitment Expert’ section of House Magazine, sharing his thoughts and opinions on the latest recruitment trends and topics.

Matthew commented: “I am delighted to have been invited to join the IHRA judging panel this year. The standard has been incredibly high and making a final decision will not be easy. I look forward to meeting the winners when they are announced at the awards ceremony in London on Thursday 20th November.”
