Tuesday night, more than 250 people gathered at the Chesford Grange hotel in Warwick for the Platinum Property Partners (PPP) annual awards ceremony.
It was the biggest National Workshop since the property investment business launched in 2007 and not just in terms of attendance, but awards given too.
After a three course meal, Partner Kriss Akabusi, who joined the franchise in 2015, opened the awards ceremony in a spur of the moment change of plan.
He thanked his personal purchasing and refurbishment mentors that helped with his first House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) and the coach in his region. Kriss also commented how he 'loves the passion in the room' and ensures new Partners that they are going to really enjoy their own journey with PPP as he has done so far.
Shortly after, Founder and Chairman, Steve Bolton took to the stage to present the awards. For the first time, a record number of 53 advocates were recognised for their support in helping prospective Partners to understand the business and the property investment model. In addition, those Partners who have successfully come to the end of their franchise were congratulated and many who have since become Alumni members were thanked for their continued support.
Steve concluded with a new and very special addition to the award categories - the Anita Vernaschi Life and Soul Award. Introduced to honour PPP Partner Anita, who sadly passed away in 2015 after a long battle with cancer, the award will be given to real characters within the network who, like Anita, are consistently the life and soul of the party.
Steve commented: "We credit our ongoing success to the huge support we get from all of the Partners in the network. Without you and your stories and willingness to help others who may not be as experienced or as far into their portfolio development, we wouldn't be where we are now. You are a key part of our business model and mentoring strategy."
To end the night, 'Wrap Rapper' George Hardwick returned for his second National Workshop and gave an excellent performance that summarised all of the learnings from the first day's presentations.
