This week, more than 230 people attended Platinum Property Partner’s (PPP) summer National Workshop at the Oxford Belfry in Thame, Oxfordshire and Partners said ‘it was the best ever’.

The event, which is now held biannually, was PPP’s 32nd National Workshop and even some of the longest standing Partners gave their praise.

Paul Cronin, who has been a Franchise Partner since 2010 said it was the best National Workshop he had ever attended: “All we can say is thanks Steve for an amazing journey which continues.”

Chris Tetley added: “Another awesome workshop - one of the best yet! Thanks Steve and your team. We always leave so invigorated and enthused and last night's festivities were brilliant - I love catching up with the friends we've made within PPP and haven't laughed so much in ages. Also made loads of new contacts with like-minded people. PPP really is a special organisation - be very proud!”

The two day training, networking and social workshop comprised several presentations from auction specialists, financial experts, existing Franchise Partners and even hula dancers!

As well as learning about a bespoke lettings management system being launched soon, Franchise Partners were advised on the best ways to carry out quarterly property checks, how changes to mortgages and bridging finance affect conveyancing and the best way to make the most of a two-bedroom semi-detached property.

There were also opportunities to debate on hot topics within the shared private rented sector – whether HMOs should be just high standard or super premium and whether maximising leverage is the best way forward in today’s market.

However, the highlight of the event was by far the financial planning and mentoring sessions. Firstly, economic strategist, Roger Martin-Fagg gave an interesting and entertaining presentation on ‘making people economically intelligent’. His point was that simplicity is the end point to understanding.

This was followed by advice from PPP’s Founder and Chairman, Steve Bolton, and leading financial planner, Neil Price, on how effective financial planning can mean the difference between success and failure.

Amongst all of the learning and networking, Franchise Partners were also able to enjoy a spectacular summer party with a delicious BBQ, innovative cocktails and Hawaiian hula dancers, as well as an amusingphoto booth.

Steve Bolton said: “The team always works tirelessly to ensure that we bring new topics, learning elements and training to each workshop, as well as greatly themed social aspects. Personally, this has also been the best workshop I have ever attended and the pressure is definitely on for the next one! However, I am confident the team can pull it off and look forward to seeing the great community that is PPP at our next event.”

Here are a few quotes from some of PPP’s other Partners.

Nicky Ruggier: “Steve, you and the PPP team put on SUCH a great workshop. I've brought home a list of things to do, small and large. It was inspiring, fascinating and fun. Thank you!”

Antoinette Cunningham: “Very privileged to be part of this amazing tribe! Steve you are an inspiration and true leader! Happy 8th birthday to PPP.”

John Gordon: “Great workshop as always. Lots of inspiration. It was sad to leave the Belfry for the last time but looking forward to the wonder of the new hotel next time.”

Stephan Van Niekerk: “Thank you Steve Bolton. We are so pleased that we have joined the family! Really grateful for what we have learned and achieved so far!”

Bryan Black: “A great experience and massive achievement!”
