UK franchise Platinum Property Partners has reached a major milestone by growing its network of Franchise Partners (franchisees) to 160 within five years.

Platinum Property Partners was launched in 2007 by entrepreneur Steve Bolton as the world’s first property investment franchise with the aim of helping people gain financial security by owning their own property portfolios.

The franchise has gone from strength to strength and is now regarded as the fastest growing premium franchise in UK history. Bolton is delighted that the business has flourished despite the financial downturn. He commented: “Our network of Partners is our most valuable asset and it is a huge achievement for us to continue to grow each year and enable more people to leave financial legacies for their loved ones.

“To date our Franchise Partners have purchased over £70million of property in 85 towns and cities across the UK.”

The Platinum Property Partners business model enables their Franchise Partners achieve an average return on investment of 15 per cent. After paying all costs, an average property will generate £15,000 gross profit per annum from rental income alone.

Franchise Partners Nicky and Paul Ruggier joined Platinum Property Partners in 2010 and now own four properties offering premium shared-living for tenants in Dorset. Nicky said: “We really enjoy running our own business and it has made our lives easier by giving us a stable income. We get satisfaction from knowing our tenants are impressed by our properties and we are now looking forward to a time when we can both spend even more time at home with our family.

“Steve has established an ethical franchise, which was a major factor for us when we joined, and we have also made lasting friendships with other Franchise Partners.”

Platinum Property Partners was awarded full membership to the British Franchise Association in 2012 and they also celebrated a record year by recruiting 52 Franchise Partners. The company is an award-winning Landlord and the UK’s leading provider in this sector.

Corporate Background

Platinum Property Partners (“PPP”) is an established, highly respected and successful property investment franchise that enables its Franchise Partners (PPP’s term for franchisee) to quickly, safely and successfully build UK residential

property portfolios as profitably as possible.

Launched in 2007 by Founder Steve Bolton, Platinum Property Partners is the world’s first property investment franchise and is also the fastest growing premium franchise in UK history. There are currently over 150 Franchise Partners operating in 85 towns and cities across the UK. The company is an award-winning Landlord, a member of British Franchise Association and the UK’s leading provider in this sector.

The business model enables PPP Franchise Partners to build property portfolios that achieve an average return on investment of 15%. After paying all costs (mortgage, bills, maintenance and voids), an average property will generate £15,000 gross profit per annum from rental income alone.

Platinum Property Partners help people who are frustrated with their current levels of income or pension provision. The business model has enabled many people to supplement, and in some cases replace, their existing income as well as provide for a more secure future.

PPP Franchise Partners have purchased over £70 million of investment property since 2007. The business model has been strong enough to not only withstand the global financial downturn but prosper throughout this period. The business model is unique in franchising because it combines high trading profits with appreciating underlying property assets that also provide for future capital growth.

About Steve Bolton – Founder

Steve Bolton is an inspirational and highly successful property and business entrepreneur who has become one of the UK's leading property investment experts. He owns a multi-million pound property portfolio and through the business he founded, Platinum Property Partners, over £70 million of UK residential property has been purchased in the last five years alone.

Widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading speakers and authors on property investment, Steve has also been called to comment in print and broadcast media to share his knowledge on building a successful and profitable property portfolio, particularly in the current financial climate. Steve also regularly contributes to other property, franchise and business start up publications, and is the author of the best-selling ‘Successful Property Investing, ‘How to earn £50,000 to £150,000 in two to five years’, the essential guide to the key business principles that underpin successful property investing.

Steve left school at 16 with no qualifications, but persistence, a love of the outdoors and a natural flair for teaching led to Steve making his first million before he was 30 through his Outdoor Adventure and Management Training business. In the financial downturn of 2001, his businesses encountered severe difficulties, and Steve was forced to sell his home to avoid bankruptcy. Although he credits that period as being “the best worst experience of my life”, it forced him to understand the power of owning the underlying assets of a business. He then rebuilt his fortune on the solid foundation of property.

Through research, Steve discovered the innovative residential letting model of premium ‘Homes in Multiple Occupation’ – upmarket, quality accommodation for professional house sharers. Quickly building his own portfolio within a year, his Accountant was asking him how he was achieving such excellent returns. Realising that the model would work as a successful franchise to allow others to build their own highly profitable portfolios, Platinum Property Partners was launched in 2007 and continues to grow year-on-year with a collective property value of £70 million in 2013.

Steve is passionate about showing people how to set higher standards for themselves in order to make money, have a better quality of life and, importantly, share their wealth with those less fortunate. Steve is the President of the Patrons programme for Peace One Day and sits on the Executive board. PPP donates or creates value equal to a minimum of 10% of its profits to charitable and/or not-for-profit causes each year.

Thanks to the financial security he has achieved, Steve takes an average of one week off every month to spend quality time with his wife and children, travelling the world with them and helping them to get a varied and balanced education.
